Most jewellers have a nice story on how they were inspired by something to start making jewellery. I don’t. I had seen a pair of silver earrings online I loved but I didn’t want to spend that amount on them. Instead, I have spent a LOT more on tools and materials to learn the trade.

Now I know the price for that pair of earrings was not much at all considering the long hours, the cost of materials and skill set needed for each piece of jewellery. But thanks to that, I have found the creative medium I have been looking for for so many years!

I studied art and worked with various materials in the past yet I could not commit myself to any particular field. This  changed with the discovery of making silver jewellery.

As a teenager, I used to wear many silver rings and bracelets but soon after I  started to move around the map quite a bit and had to reduce them gradually. Taking them with me just was not practical. But now, as my lifestyle has changed, my love for silver has returned.

Learning this skill has opened a whole new world for me; to see a piece of metal become someone’s favourite item for years or decades (or as it has been in certain cases: centuries!) is just magical!

My designs are simple, wearable and as ethical as possible. A nice piece of jewellery like a statement ring dresses you up for the day. I focus on the every day style rather than that one-off occasion, which are few and far between in most of our lives. My greatest enemy is that pretty dress in my wardrobe that I am still waiting for the right occasion to wear, it never seems to come – but if it will. I hope it will still fit!! Well, that's not the case with my jewellery, I want to make items that can be worn and loved everyday.

I also have a great passion for gemstones, each one of them is a unique piece with it's own shape and colour. They are not perfect as they all are shaped by hand. Each is an individual character.
